Looking for:
Speed very slow windows 10.Slow internet on Windows 10.
The problem with wifi was I wasn’t getting stable speeds. Then I connected my pc with ethernet cable cat6 and saw my download speed was stable enough but my upload speeds are very much unstable and slow.
On wifi I was getting around 35Mbps download and 9. But when I connected my pc via ethernet cable the upload speeds never go above 4 Mbps, and this is also severely unstable, like it will range from Kbps to 4 Mbps. Then I tried to boot my system using a live Ubuntu USB and saw that on ethernet my upload speed was very stable 9. So that’s why I know there is something wrong with windows.
I am using Windows 10 pro Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn’t help. Thanks for your feedback. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community. Search the community and support articles Windows Windows 10 Search Community member.

I have done the test between Wifi and my phone’s Hotspot. With my phone, while a bit slower because it is using Mobile Data for the Hotspot, the issue does not occur. Images take roughly 2 to 4 seconds to send which is completely normal.
And when I turn back to Wifi, the issue comes back once more. Conclusion: It is fine with the Hotspot, just not with Wifi, just like the former you said. Try moving the laptop to the same room as the router and try connecting with your laptop only and temporarily turn off all other wireless devices, then check the speed on your laptop. If it works, connect the other devices 1 at a time and check the speed each time until you connect the last device.
I have now done that. With all other devices disconnected from the Wifi, Internet Speed on the laptop remains slow. When turning one by one on, it continues the same issue. Another thing to note: Internet at times can stay good for a few days, at times its slow for days. And at other times, it might be good for half the day and all the sudden it starts becoming slow.
Log into the router and check if the QoS service is configured or not. Unfortunately I am unable to check the QoS service configuration. Due to the Router itself, it only allows a Log In with an Ethernet cable and this laptop does not have an Ethernet port.
